Only negative was BBQ. Burned poorly. Hard to cook with

This penthouse was almost perfect. The lanai with the view is well worth the price alone. The property is very clean and very well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook or bbq. There are ceiling fans and ac units in each room which makes the entire place very comfortable to relax in . There was only one day we actually stayed home and enjoyed the unit but the temp was 91 degrees and humid which overpowered the ac units and fans so we ended up walking across the street to the beach. Our only issue was the private elevator. Our flight was delayed so we did not get to the house until around 1am. We put our bags in the elevator, closed the outside door and then the folding door and hit floor 2. The elevator started to go up and then it stopped. My wife pushed the buttons which did nothing and she tried to open the folding door but could not so we started to freak out a bit. Then i tried and was able to open the folding door but the outside door was locked. For whatever i looked at the top of the outside door and saw a metal sheet on the door and the door jamb so i assumed it was some sort of security sensor. we gave the outside door a couple of shakes, closed the folding door, pushed 2nd floor and the elevator took us up. Any other time it happened we followed the same steps and it worked like a charm. There are stairs but the elevator is very useful after a day of shopping and checking in and out and its your own private elevator! Aside from that the living space, the lanai and the view was perfect!!!

Clean, spacious, well appointed, comfortable beds, great location and well managed. Very relaxing stay and across the street from a public park with good snorkeling. Was very hot while we were there and started to use AC but not very effective once condo was already hot. Instead we opened up all the screened windows including ones up high. It cooled down nicely, and cool enough to sleep at night with covers. With open windows could hear wonderful birdsong in AM. Highly recommend and would go back.. Thank you.

Amazing location across from Kahalu'u Beach Park! We spent a lot of time on the large lanai enjoying dinner and the sunsets. Plenty of space for the whole family. The unit included laundry, kitchen, and beach gear so we didn't have to worry about a thing!

With out hesitation, will book with Kona Coast again. The home was all we expected and more!! Comfortable, clean and very well appointed. Will be back. Thx

This place was fantastic! Excellent location with truly "spectacular ocean views". We loved being able to listen to the waves! Everything about the place was great, from the huge and well furnished wrap around lanai, to the excellent cross ventilation, to the private elevator, and of course the well furnished interior. The condo was clean, well maintained, and very spacious. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone and the next time we visit The Big Island we hope to be able to rent the same place as it would be hard to beat!
