Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented the Hale Honu for a family vacation over Chistmas and were delighted by its stunning location. Our group of 8 (0ur adult kids and significant others joined us) were able to walk to great snorkeling, warm up in the hot tub, enjoy meals together at the large dinner table and sit outside on balconies over the crashing waves reading books and sipping tropical drinks. A perfect vacation!

The location cannot be beat - you literally feel like you are on a cruise ship - looking out every window (including one of the showers!), all you see is the beautiful water! Waves were huge the week we were there (Christmas 2014), and we had to close the windows at night to sleep, and even then, you could hear the waves crashing against the rocks below! We saw whales and dolphins off the lanai's. So nice to sit outside with a cup of coffee or a cocktail and enjoy the views and sunsets. There were tons of things to use in the house (coolers, chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, etc). Walking distance to the great snorkel beach as well as Magic Sands, but no swimming in front of the house. On the downside (but nothing hampered our trip), the jacuzzi heater wasn't working (but the property mgr worked with us on that), and the air conditioning downstairs didn't work (not a huge deal except when we first got there and it was real stuffy). Any issues were quickly addressed. We loved our stay at Hale Honu over Christmas! There is a grocery store real close. If you go on a snorkel trip, we highly recommend the Fair Winds tour!

The house is beautiful, with spectacular views of the ocean. Our party of seven would rent this home in the future, if available.
