We had a fantastic stay and will be back.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo which was just what we expected and more. We arrived to find that it had more amenities than we expected from beach chairs, umbrellas and toys to bathroom necessities...everything you need. It was immaculate and the sunsets were spectacular.

Beautiful at the Terraces with the ocean at Our doorstep!

Property was even better in person! It was very clean and well appointed. The location was spectacular! The views of the ocean and tropical fish ponds were beautiful! We loved spending time at the beautiful beach just a short walk down the path. Our kids loved stopping along the way to find fish in the ponds. We spent an entire day at the beach snorkeling for hours....we even had 2 sea turtles swim past us. We would come back in a heartbeat! Thanks for an amazing time in paradise!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at J101 in Mauna Lani terrace. The place was way beyond our expectations. It is hard to judge from photos the quality of a condo rental. This unit was so clean, immaculate and top notch in every way we were pleasantly surprised. Even though you could see the ocean there was literally no foot traffic in front of our unit. The pool was right around the corner to the right ( we never used it). There is a beautiful boardwalk along the ocean to the left of the condo that leads to the clubhouse beach. our building - building J - was the closest building to the clubhouse beach. Pretty nice. A beautiful spot. Lots of free chairs and cabanas. The water was calm in the bay so perfect for swimming. And just a few feet out from the white sand beach, there were lots of coral and fish for some pretty good snorkeling. There is also a hut at the club where you can opt to rent gear or sign up for excursions. The clubhouse also has a bar restaurant with some wonderful food and drinks. If you follow the boardwalk further to the left there are private gated homes and a golf course with a historical ancient fishing rock path. Very beautiful, unexpected and interesting. If you follow the oceanfront to the right of the condo, there is the Mauna Lani beach resort hotel which has its own beach ( not as nice - more rocky) and the resort was under renovations. So we had no neighbors at all on our right. That will obviously change in the future possibly affecting foot traffic. If you continue past the Mauna Lani resort you’ll eventually find the Fairmont Orchid which is another great oceanfront property with a bar restaurant and shops. I can’t say enough good things about this unit or it’s location. It is about 30- 40 minutes north of Kona, so we did have to drive for a couple excursions in kona but honestly you could just opt to schedule excursions out your back Door. We didn’t know that until we arrived at our condo. Also at the entrance of mauna Lani resort there is a beautiful shopping center with some great shops and restaurants and a nice grocery market. So convenient. We ate breakfast at “under the bodhi tree” one morning for a fabulous local organic fruit and grain breakfast. We also had a quick bite another morning at the coffee shop for danishes. And we ate dinner at Tommy Bahama restaurant and rented our snorkel gear at “snorkel Bob’s” - all in the same shopping center. It was wonderful. We highly recommend

This is our 2nd year there and, we really enjoyed our stay at Mauna Lani Terrace J101. We love the location. It’s close to the beach club and the pool. We hope to come back next year. We also really like the condo itself. That being said we did have one issue this year. The lock on the front door broke and would not unlock with the key. We had to go in and out through the sliding glass door and leave it unlocked when we were gone. Since this happened early on a Saturday and the locksmith could not come until Monday we had to lock all of our valuables in the car whenever we went to the beach or pool or anywhere.
