This penthouse apartment is literally across the street from the best snorkeling on the West side of the island. It's an amazing apartment that was the perfect home base for our weeklong trip. GREAT views of the ocean, KILLER lanai, and easy access!!! We couldn't have been happier. The management company was very responsive and helpful, and the place was clean and modern. You'll want to rent a car to get the 3+ miles into Kona proper (for food and amenities), but the chill vibe and relative solitude provided by this location is totally worth it. This apartment is a restful home away from home for those who don't want to stay in a huge resort complex.

Only negative was the elevator didn’t work

This was the perfect property for a laid-back vacation we needed to getaway. We arrived to a beautiful sunset and watching the surfers from the lanai in the morning was a moment I'll never forget. David, the concierge was super helpful in a pinch when our Mauna Kea Summit was canceled due to weather.

We had a tremendous time while staying in the Kahului Alii house. Beautiful view, super easy access to a great snorkeling and surfing spot. The house was well equipped, clean and everything worked. I would highly recommend Kona Coast and especially the Kahului Alii penthouse.

We stayed for 1 week at a beautiful penthouse condo in Kona, across from an amazing snorkeling and surfing spot. We were able to watch the surfers from our HUGE lanai, and even took a surf lesson from one of the 2 neighboring surf shops. The ocean views from the lanai were gorgeous and the furniture out there was perfect - it included a large table and chairs where we often tele-worked and ate, as well as a cozy set of lounge furniture for happy hours. The house was nicely decorated and included everything we needed for the beach and hiking. There were fans with lights in each room and there was a clicker for each, all labeled and hung thoughtfully on wall switches, which made them very easy use depending on which rooms we were in. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we slept each night with the screen open. Highly recommend!

Great spot right across from the beach. We had such an amazing time relaxing on the lanai playing cards and watching the sunset.
