It was a very nice place. It was easy to find and the home was very well cared for. It worked perfectly. The only complaint we had was that the hot tub was cold and always full of children, but that is not the owners fault. Our stay was very nice except for that.

Hard to find at night for the first time. The directions assumed entry from a road under construction but and when we phoned for help, the person was on the mainland and confused as us. Reviewer Comments: The real proof of how pleased we were is in the fact that halfway through this stage we booked the same villa for four weeks next Februsry. Colony Villas as a whole has a great feel about it with two really good pools, a good gym and barbecue facilities. The opcondo was a truly elegant two story home with no one overhead and no noise from any where in the morning. All the necessary cooking amenities and then some are there for use. Previous renters may have complained about the air conditioning but that problem has now been solved though the motor seems to be labouring a bit. We did have a problem gaining entrance when we arrived because when advised to use the second. Hali Kai entrance we assumed incorrectly we should then be proceeding to the Hali Kai gate but that was our fault (Were we the only ones to do this.)bBut even then the problem was solved by a call to the property manager. But these trivial points notwithstanding it was a great stay and we look forward to our return next year.

A lanai that over looked the golf coarse and a deck off the master bedroom. The owners had a binder with the info of the home and the do's and don't. The home was immaculately clean. A beautiful pool was 100 feet away. The whole complex is a gated community and very very quiet. Perfect for a small family or just a get away for a couple. We absolutely loved it !!

If you are going to the Big Island and you want a spacious condo ready to use, this is the place. The owners and management company have the unit set up with all the little things that count for a condo stay: soaps, detergent, spices, utensils and cookware in the kitchen, and plenty of extra towels. You need not bring your own beach gear such as towels, mats, umbrella, boogie boards: it's all there. We are particular about our snorkeling gear, but there were masks, fins and snorkels to use had we not brought our own. The layout allowed our party of two adults and two teens to have plenty of space to ourselves during our downtime in the afternoons/evenings. We were pleased with how clean things were upon arrival and tried our best to keep it that way. The Waikoloa location is great for access to Kohala and points north and not bad if you want to see Hilo and the Kiluea volcano. It is a bit of a drive to get to Kona snorkel spots and reasonably-priced grocery shopping (Costco/Walmart). I liked that the management company checked in on us just after arrival to make sure we were well-situated and everything was to our satisfaction. If we come back to the big island, we will definitely stay here again.
