The ocean views are spectacular - we saw a humpback wale off our balcony and there are two fantastic beaches within 10 minutes (snorkeling south and boogy-board north). Would recommend.

The outdoor shower is an unexpected perk. We had a mongoose join us for a day (due to us leaving the door open during "move-in"), but he quickly evacuated and did not pose any threats. He went to the bathroom on the floor, and the owner had someone come and remove the droppings immediately. We had an AC issue upon arrival, and it was fixed within hours. The owner was reachable at all times and beyond responsive. We were visiting Kona to work at the IRONMAN World Championships. It was an ideal location - close to the athlete village and everywhere downtown as well as on the run course. We worked hard all day and did networking at night, and it felt like coming home after a long day. We will be staying again next year.

The view was gorgeous and although it is not on a beach, my adult son went in right off the rocks. You can see the yellow tang from the deck.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 8 people (6 adults, 2 kids) for the stay and we had more than enough room. The pictures don't do it justice...especially the view! We saw numerous whales and dolphins from the balcony. The wide open double doors give a spectacular view from the kitchen/living area. The kitchen had every utensil and amenity you could think of and more. All the beach gear (chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear, umbrellas etc) you need is provided. The bedrooms are spacious and all have a view of the ocean. Everything was very clean. The pool and hot tub area was great for the kids with lots of furniture for lounging and very spacious Location was close to a shopping area/grocery store/restaurants. A couple of beaches north and south (10 minute walk/couple minute drive) are close by. Wonderful house! It was perfect for our group.

The View, the view the view. Every single room of the house had access to 180 degree fantastic ocean views via balconies. The house was spotless and had pretty much everything needed to enjoy a great vacation: Parking for multiple cars, short walk to a beautiful beach and a short drive to downtown Kona and restaurants. We were a large group and had ample space to move around, get ready in the mornings and sit down to relax in the evenings. We recommend this house to anybody.
