The rental was magnificent! It was spacious, gorgeous, comfortable, bright, and shiny clean. We loved it! And it was bug free! (I had been worried about those Hawaiian bugs.) The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook (except the food, of course), eat, and clean up. Nice laundry area. All the cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, etc., we needed for a week if not more were there. There were beach towels, bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths aplenty. I didn't like the sheets. Their sheets were not cotton. When I called the office about that, they brought over another set that very day, but it was the same kind. (My husband did not mind the sheets.) Also, the pillows were just too think. Maybe in the future the linen supply company can assemble a set of 2 thick and 2 thin pillows instead of 4 thick ones, and switch over to cotton sheets. Note that getting into the tub involves climbing over a wide and tall tiled side. It's okay, but be careful. Also, the living/dining room has no window coverings if you are planning on sleeping out there, which we did not do. The AC and fans were perfect and you can control them with pinpoint accuracy. We never tried the TV. I am one picky and assertive customer: I asked for a drying rack for towels and hand-washed clothes and they brought one over. I think this must be the best rental company ever. They were efficient, helpful, thorough, and always super kind. The apartment is on the second (top) floor--nobody can stomp above you. No neighbors disturbed our sleep. There's a nice big pool is in the complex. The shopping center across the street is handy: we arrived late, hangry, in need of a quick meal before buying groceries, and there was a Subway. Its Thai place was delicious and seemed to be the only reasonably-priced restaurant on the island. It also has a great coffee place, a post office, a book store, and an overpriced (that is, normal for Hawaii) grocery store. I most enthusiastically recommend this apartment and Kona Coast Vacations.
