Our 1st vacation as a family, and we had an amazing time staying at this location. It was a lot more and beautiful than expected. The experience here was great with so much to see and do. Neighbors were very nice and welcoming! It was also a great place to start the day and plan our day-to-day adventures. Definitely look forward to staying here again in the future! Mahalo (:

The property was beautiful! We loved the location - not close to a beach, but on the mountain side surrounded by coffee plants and lots of other lush vegetation. Not only was the property gorgeous but we enjoyed the daily visits from a couple of chickens and a bunny. Our little granddaughter was very excited about the animals! The house was very comfortable and well-appointed, with an inviting zen-like feel. Dinner every night on the lanai was a must so that we could watch the spectacular sunsets.

Everything about our stay at the Orchid Inn was stelar. The property is gorgeous, inside and out. We spent most of our time enjoying the lanai, watching the animals and taking in the incredible view. The house is gorgeous inside, plenty of room for the five of us. We had all the amenities we needed - a fully stocked kitchen (even Tupperware and to go mugs!), beach supplies (chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, cooler), and plenty of outside seating. There were even a couple small tables with chairs nestled into lovely corners of the yard. The property is 15 minutes up the hill from downtown Kona and grocery stores, and a short walk down the driveway will get you to the little art district of Holualoa where you’ll find coffee shops and little boutiques, even a small general store. We would recommend this property to anyone, and hope we can make it back for another trip. It was my parents’ first time in Hawaii, and they both want to stay at this property again. It’s a mountain oasis, and made our trip.

Away from the hustle of Kona, this property sits on the side of Mauna Loa in an arts village called Holualoa. Even being away from the town, there are still expansive views and it is one of our favorite properties on the island. Great communication and easy to get into, although make sure to follow the directions to the place that are sent by the manager as Google Maps can't get you there.

We enjoyed the farm setting of this house. Frogs sing at night and roosters wake us up in the morning. Gorgeous view from all the windows. Very comfortable house and beds at the same time.
