Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our vacation time at 1-206 Keauhou-Kona Surf and Racquet Club. The condo's kitchen has been beautifully updated with granite countertops, slate floors and high-end appliances. Both bathrooms also have granite countertops, slate floors and lovely showers. We vacationed with our son, daughter-in-law and our 18 month old grand daughter. There was plenty of room for all. The condo can easily be configured into 2 separate living quarters, allowing each bedroom it's own private bathroom. We fell asleep each night (in gloriously comfortable king-sized beds)to the ocean waves crashing into the lava rock directly in front of our unit. Surf & Racquet is a very quiet complex compared to other condos along Ali'i Drive. The Big Island offers so much. We drove to the volcano one day, then right to the top of Mauna Kea on another day. We discovered water falls, beautiful ranch lands and many gorgeous beaches (green sand, black sand and white sand). We look forward to our next vacation on the Big Island and hope that 1-206 Keauhou-Kona Surf and Racquet Club is available.

Reviewer Comments: The owners have recently upgraded this unit to match rich island wood trim with furniture and fixtures of the same wood to create an elegant and comfortable home away. To call it a "condo" is an injustice. Other residents have referred to it as the premier unit in the complex. There was nothing lacking in equipment, dishes, etc. Surfing and snorkeling gear located in a deck box on the deck, every piece of kitchen ware you would have at home and the finest appliances and plumbing fixtures you would equip an upscale house. Then there is the best location in the complex, a corner unit on the second floor overlooking the ocean at the closest point and facing the sunset; breakfast and dinner on the deck! Save time looking and book this gem!

A couple of issues when arriving late at night had to wait to get the entry keypad rekeyed as we were given the wrong code, and no key or instructions regarding swimming pool. Loved having equal size beds (kings) for the two couples.
