overall our stay was very is a lovely condo and we enjoyed our stay once we were able to get in the condo. check in time is 4:00 P.M. We one day before we were to arrive we called and asked ahead of time if we could get in the condo earlier, as we to arrive at 12:30 P.M. We were told there is back to back (people leaving at 11:00 A.M.) and could not promise anything. We were told they would make a note on our reservation and to call in when our plane arrived.Our plane ride was 5 1/2 hours. and we were up for 12 hours and were very tired. We were told there was no notation on our reservation requesting early check in. After calling 3 times to find the status of our early check in, Dansett said at 3:40 there was a maintenance problem. The third bedroom T.V. had lines in it and that was holding up our check in. She said, if we would accept the condo as is we could be let in.This condo has three T.V.s in it. We are two people occupying the condo. We did not care if one of the three T.V.s had lines in it. All we wanted was to get in the condo and unpack. If she would have told this to us 2 hours earlier, we could have been in the condo seems the rules are so stringent and as a result you do not accommodate people because of the the way, the T.V. in the living room also has lines in it. We lived with it.
Aloha and Mahalo for the comments. We understand that you were traveling for 12 hours and were tired. We mention in all of our documentation, from booking to confirmation to directions, that the check in time is 4:00pm and that early check ins are not available on back to back bookings (5 hour turnaround). We try, as a courtesy to our guests, to have the properties available early when possible. To properly clean and prepare a two bedroom, ocean front, property to the level every guest deserves, the cleaners and maintenance people require time. If we do not do our best, people will complain about the items that are not working, or not clean. So there is a fine line, do we not clean and not make repairs so people are unhappy even if they get in early, or do we clean and repair, so people are happy but get in at the regular check in time. The owner has purchased a new TV for the property.
