Our stay was absolutely amazing! The apartment at Surf and Racquet 1206 was the perfect spot for everything — peaceful, comfortable, and beautifully located. We spent 5 unforgettable days on the Big Island, and it truly felt like a dream. We already miss it and can’t wait to come back!

This is our second stay at Surf and Racquet and first time in this unit. It was perfect. Beautiful lanai with corner views, well appointed kitchen, and comfortable bed. The location is great, a bit up from the traffic and noise of Kona but close that’s it’s an easy drive away. We will be back!

This is our fifth trip to the Big Island. Unit 1206 was outstanding, and met all of our expectations. It was well appointed from high end furnishings to gourmet kitchen cookware and appliances. The view is amazing, the sunsets golden, and Sunrise met with tropical birds singing with the crash of the ocean in the background. Truly spectacular in every way. Our friends joined us for 8 days from the mainland. Plenty of room for 4 adults to spread out and have our own space. Everything on the island can be reached in a day trip, Volcano, Hilo, Waimea, Waikaloa, South Point, Green Sand Beach, Black Sand Beach, Painted Church, etc. Pack a lunch using the nice coolers provided and ice packs in the freezer! Throw in the provided beach chairs and umbrella if you wish! Kona is only a few minutes away where you'll find dining, shopping, Magic Sands Beach, Ka'haluu Beach for snorkeling, and more. Day trips for island hopping to Oahu, (Pearl Harbor) and Kauai are an easy drive to the airport just 30 minutes away.We will definitely stay at this unit again and look forward to the comfortable beds, gentle breezes, and dolphins playing in the background. This review is of the surf & Racket Club Unit 1206. This is our 3rd time staying there. This time we did the entire island to include Hilo. The unit is directly on the water and exquisitely appointed and clean. Every day we would open all windows and sliders and the breeze was unbelievable. You can see some of the pics of the unit on line but they do not do the unit the justice it deserves IMHO. We have seen other units on the property but this one is truly exceptional. Additionally, we use the community grills to make lunches & dinners which contribute to the relaxing experience. For us, not having to get dressed up and drive somewhere or like Kona and pay $30.00 to park while eating dinner is worth it. Just a small walk from the Surf & Racket club you can experience some of the best snorkeling on the island. Yellow tang, Uni, and other colorful fish are abundant there. No snorkeling gear, no problem, they can be rented there along with lessons for surfing and boarding. Also, a great beach to swim is within walking distance 3.5 miles (for those like us that exercise often) or a small drive with free parking. Finally a close shopping center has a TKA grocery store, many different restaurants (the pizza place is amazing) to choose from if the drive to Kona is not something you do every day. We will return there every other year as we have in the past.
