This was our third trip to Kona and Casa de Emdeko 136. We had a wonderful time again. The unit was very clean and well stocked with supplies. We really appreciated the new rollaway frames and mattresses. We are hoping to come again in 2026. Thanks for your efficient handling of all the details concerning our reservation.

As advertised - great location and place was as depicted in pictures and description. Not sure if it was just our timing, but we had plenty of supplies - their “starter kit” was more than enough for our 4-5 day stay. Rental property company was available if needed, and great communication before, during, and after stay.

Our experience with Kona Coast Vacations and Casa de Emdeko unit 136 was wonderful and highly recommended. Overall, the place was even better than expected, clean and very spacious, excellent kitchen; only thing was that master shower took a long time to warm up. Ground level unit would work well even for many with mobility issues; one short step up to front door, no steps out to lanai; a few steps down to pool area but if you can navigate those, the saltwater pool has a sloped entry with handrail. Gorgeous Kona sunsets every evening and can hear the ocean waves. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

The condo complex is beautiful and extremely well maintained. Many are full time residents and the pride of ownership shows. Our unit was 136; a 2 bed:2 bath unit in the ground floor. The unit was very clean, very well furnished and spacious. The layout works well. The kitchen was well equipped and even had a full complement of spices. The complimentary box of macadamia nut short bread cookies from the Punalu’u bakery were so delicious we drove 1 1/2 hours to their bakery to get more😎 The patio was large and perfect in that it was a direct path to the garden/BBQ area. Very easy to go back and forth. The salt water pool was probably the best pool I’ve been in; large, clear and easy to float in. Watching the waves crash against the rocks and occasionally having the splash hit the pool was cool👍 Residents participated in the traditional sunset blowing of the “pu” every night. It was beautiful. We had an issue with the main TV on day 2. I called the Kona Coast contact and they sent one their repair techs out within the hour. He replaced the TV later that day. Awesome gentleman. We loved this place and would definitely rent this unit again. The only criticism I can think of is the main AC fan in the kitchen/hallway ceiling is very noisy and rattling. But we got used to it. The pull-down shades on the patio were broken on the down position which was OK. We were told repair parts were on order but hadn’t arrived yet. They worked well in the down position. Parking is very limited but we only had to park outside the gate 2 times. The rest of the time one of the 4 spaces by the unit were available. The atmosphere, the grounds and garden, small beach, salt pool, all make this place amazing. Thank you for the opportunity to stay here!

Spent time with family and loved the Casa. The unit was fine although the cots for sleeping were less than desirable.
