Those are the words I want to say and you to remember, to keep this place a secret from the world so I can be the only one to enjoy it. But alas, I'm going to try and be a friend (if I have to.... like my wife says) to humanity. This place is fabulous. Do not pass go, do not call your mother for her thoughts, just book it. Book it now. The remodel was well done, it is a beautiful condo. This condo and the whole condo complex is fantastic. Right on the ocean. A fabulous lanai to watch the waves crash on the VERY close (40 ft from your chair on the lanai) beach rocks. I must say, eating breakfast on the lanai is such a delight; watching dolphins (just one day) play 100 yards in front of you, or turtles resting on the rocks just below you. The sun rays highlighting the brilliant whites, deep to very pale blues, touches of greens in each unique wave rolling into the beach just in front of you is the quintessential (forget about work and cares of the world on the mainland) paradise experience. Always a refreshing, cool morning breeze to welcome you to another fantastic day in Hawaii. Each morning on the lanai was a sweet reminder to how beautiful Hawaii is. Each evening on that same lanai, basking in a vivid orange sunset, you have a comforting peaceful sense of satisfaction with your day and life, that you are luckier than most, because you are engulfed (for a short time anyway) in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. This condo does that. Really. The pool was warm and a lot of fun with the family. Great for afternoon or evening swimming and play with the kids. The condo is well stocked with kitchen stuff. The WIFI works well. You watch 1/10 the TV you normally would, but the TV is fine, if you want. I didn't even watch the Warriors crush the Cavs for the title. It was available (at 3 in the p.m.), but who cares; you're in Hawaii! Don't be surprised to see most of this cut and pasted as reviews of the other Hale Pohaku condos. We rented all three of them to house our kids, their spouses, and our two amazing grandkids to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We wanted to share this lovely place with our family. It is that kind of place. The other three permanent condo owners (6 condos are all that make up the complex) were not there, so we had the complex to ourselves. It was fantastic! Disclosure; we've rented here before, it is always quiet and peaceful.

It was perfect for 4 people to share. There was additional beach/pool supplies which was a nice surprise and came in handy. Loved the gate that lead straight to the rocky coast. We were initially concerned about no air conditioning but the vented, screened windows provided a nice breeze and it was very comfortable. The location was very convenient to downtown Kona with lots of shopping, food and grocery options. We would love to come back and stay here again. Only suggestion we would have is to provide the first night of coffee for those who arrive late (as many flights do). Also, the open air nature of the unit is fabulous. We loved it. That being said, there are very noisy birds that wake you up and sadly, an air conditioner unit from a next door condo that is very loud. We would stay here again and this didn't bother us too much but we had ear plugs with us. We suggest you provide ear plugs just in case.

The condo is very nice, clean, and in a great location. The view is stunning. We spent all weekend on the lanai relaxing and watching whales and dolphins pass by. The pool was very quiet, and a very nice addition to an already great place to stay. My favorite part was the turtle lagoon right outside. We went out several times each day and saw sea turtles every time! I highly recommend this rental, and would definitely stay again.

What a majestic view and then we saw whale spouts...off our lanai! Can't get any better than that! Would definitely stay here again. It was all and more than we expected.
