Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an absolutely fantastic vacation on th Big Island in this gorgeous home! The view is exactly as pictured. It is in a great location, but provides privacy when you want it. This home is stocked with most everything you need and we like the fact that it is run by solar energy. We did wish though that the pool had a solar cover on it, as it was pretty chilly. It's a beautiful pool though - we did swin in it and we enjoyed watching the birds that landed there! Akoa Place was perfect for us and we hope to stay there again! The grounds are beautifully maintained too. A lot of thought went into the design of this incredible home. Our concierge, David, was so helpful. It was nice to have him make arrangements for the activities that we wanted. Our whale watching/dolphin swim was our favorite planned activity - with Liquid Hawaii - thanks to our guides Scott and Shane. Such a memorable event! We also experienced some great snorkeling at the tide pools south of Hilo and at Two Steps on the Kona side. Went to several terrific restaurants and markets too. And, if you have never been on a helicopter ride, it's pretty awesome too! (Blue Hawaii) We so enjoyed relaxing on the lanai of this home and several times we barbecued and enjoyed our dinner, while watching those beautiful sunsets. Thank you. We will be back!

It is clean, spacious, and very private with great views. While it feels very secluded the house is conveniently located to local beaches, boat departures, and the highway. I would recommend this house for any vacationer.
