Pictures can’t get across how nice this home is. It really made the vacation to be able to come home to such luxury- so much so, that we spent a lot more time there than we expected. It’s in a very quiet gated community, and the grounds were perfectly manicured. The house was very open with many glass sliding doors to enjoy the view from every room, including the two spectacular bedrooms upstairs that have large lanais of their own. It was also spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with a great modern look to it. There is a near 180 degree view of the ocean, along with the privacy provided by the lush vegetation. The pool is long enough to do laps, but we spent most of our time in the spa. Because this is a home, you get everything you would normally expect to have at home including a washer and dryer and a kitchen with all necessary cookware. We only ate breakfasts there, since the house is located close to the town of Kailua and many local restaurants. There are plenty of things to do nearby. Try snorkeling at Kahalu'u or Two Step, or just hang out there. We had a very nice tour of the Greenwell Kona Coffee Farms which is just around the corner, and the Paleaku Peace Garden isn’t to be missed. The house is close to the Kona airport and well situated for longer day trips to the northern and southern coasts as well as the volcano areas. I definitely expect to return to GMH, and would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.

My family of eight rented this property for two weeks. It worked great for our family! It was spacious, had a great kitchen, 4 nice bedrooms with adjoining baths, and a spectacular view of the ocean. Great location in a gated community. Lovely neighborhood with sidewalks that make for great walking and running. I highly recommend this property! Date of Stay: 12/2/17 to 12/16/17

This place was fantastic. The house itself is large, well cared for, and a great space for a large group in a quiet neighborhood. I stayed there for a week, and it was great to have a beautiful view of the sunset every night by the lighted pool. A huge kitchen and large rooms with private bathrooms and balconies made this an awesome place to stay with multiple couples. Tons of restaurants and the main drag by the beach are within a 5 minute drive. We took surfing lessons in town, had tons of great poke bowls, and on our last day could see whales splashing around while sitting by the pool. Highly recommended, great property in a great location.

A modern, clean, spacious, totally relaxing and beautiful home. The luxurious accommodations and attention to the smallest detail in every room made this an exquisitely comfortable place to stay. A walk out to the deck with its swimming pool and colorful, well maintained garden — with a full view of the Pacific Ocean behind it — made this vacation superb. As a native NYC resident, reclining on a cushioned beach chair, watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean, with a private swimming pool right in front of me, all the comforts of home right behind me, and NO BUGS to annoy me qualifies this home as the best vacation residence I have ever stayed in.

I could have vacationed on the Big Island without having left this house and would have been happy. When you think of tropics, you think of flowers, ocean views, reclining chairs, cool breeze… and this place had it all. It was hard to leave with so many cozy chairs to laze around on! But luckily it was a 5-10 minute drive from Kailua-Kona, with incredible snorkeling and delicious restaurants (all the poké you could imagine), and you can take these beautiful drives either north or south to the magnificent hikes and views of the Big Island. This island itself has practically every type of natural phenomenon that you can imagine... volcanoes, rainforests, reefs- it is a truly incredible place. And each night, we were excited to get back to hang around! I'll be missing those sunsets for some time. Thanks for the amazing stay!

Our stay at this home was exceptional. The layout of the house is such that there is no "bad room" - every member of your group will have a comfortable, spacious, and clean space to make their own for the trip. The views are unbeatable and the house is located in a perfect spot for getting easily down into town for ocean activities, restaurants, shopping, and more. Did I mention the views are unbeatable?! This is truly a postcard-worthy vacation home and I would recommend it ten times over to any friend, family member, acquaintance, or stranger.
