Reviewer Comments: Our stay at the Orcid inn was a phenomenal experience and we would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay on the big Island . The house is accurately depicted in the pictures and in the descriptions. The property was well cared for from the house to the grounds, all very neat and tidy. We really appreciated the beach chairs beach mats the beach umbrella and snorkeling gear being available for our use. The property management company was a pleasure to deal with and very trouble-free .

We had everything we needed here, except for a plunger. 3 bathrooms and not one plunger to be found! They provide you with earplugs which are necessary for the roosters that like to cockadoodledoo at various times through the night and in the morning. But it is very soothing somehow. And being on Hualalai makes for cooler temps in the evening which is perfect for a comfortable sleep. The house is very beautiful and well decorated with everything you could possibly need. We used all three bedrooms, which are lovely. I stayed in the Ohana suite in the lower level. LOVED it! The only thing was the bed was so hard. I love a firm bed, but this one was like rock. I went to Target and bought a foam pad for the bed. Then it was ok. The mattress in the bedroom closest to the main entrance is very nice! This may sound trivial, but after travelling, a good bed makes a world of difference in your holiday! The house was very clean other than the odd thing, slops down the front of a cupboard, rib bone in the oven, and the blankets downstairs in the Ohana suite were dirty. Like there was food crusted on the blankets. Easy fixes for us. I can understand that cleaning the same place over and over can be monotonous. I hate to make any negative comments as this place is fantastic and I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Location is great as it is close enough to the action of Kona, but far enough away to feel like a peaceful retreat! Thank you!

The Orchid Inn was great, lots of space, beautiful view, convenient location. The only possible downside was the loud frogs at night and roosters in the early morning, but most of us didn't mind.
