We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki for a few days and found this condo online. We booked it for eight nights through Kona Coast Vacations and we were delighted with our choice. This condo has a 180 degree ocean view and is about as close to the ocean as you can get. The sound of the waves breaking is so relaxing. If you leave the lanai door open at night the sound of the waves will lull you sleep in the bedroom. We spent many hours sitting on the lanai watching surfers, jet skiers and parasail boats. We also dined often on the lanai. If you are a beach person, you should be aware that most of the Kona coast is rock rather than sand. There is a small sandy beach next to the condo on the south end. A larger sandy beach, Magic Sands Beach, is about a fifteen minute trolley ride south. We had rented a car but turned it in on the second day because it is only a ten to fifteen minute walk to many restaurants, shopping and a great farmers market that operates Wednesday through Sunday. The trolley is handy for more distant excursions.
