When we showed up and met Dave, our expectations were surpassed. The house is larger than you expect and all the rooms are tastefully decorated. The kitchen and dining area were great for the eight of us. We cooked every night and hung out and then spent the rest of the evenings in the Lanais.

We also loved both the private beach and the public beach a bit further down the road which was wasn't crowded either. Even a bit of snorkeling available at high tide in the public beach. The home itself was beautifully decorated and stocked with lots of beach items (towels, snorkel gear, chairs, etc. etc.) to make the stay that much more convenient.

We enjoyed having lots of space and privacy (although we often all ended up on the screened porches), the pool table, and the backyard (to which we added a croquet set). It was lovely to be able to walk to "our" beach for swimming or tide-pooling and to town for shave ice. The description of the house on VRBO and Kona Coast Vacations info failed to mention the extensive collection of snorkel equipment and beach toys, and the selection of condiments and spices, all of which we appreciated. The kitchen equipment is amazing.

Reviewer Comments: Our party had 3 couples and a single adult and we required large common areas for cooking, meals and gatherings but still have a sense of privacy as 2 of our family members are writers. We walked daily into town for the market, restaurants and shopping, used the pool several times a day and found ourselves in and around the keiki tidal pond regularly too. The house and grounds were private, the security guards were friendly and approachable. Keiki beach 6 met all of our needs, was clean and well appointed with day to day household items. During the evening, with the outdoor pool table and swimming pool, we felt unable to fully enjoy that space after 9:00pm due to noise restrictions. There was also a minor issue with one of the bedroom air conditioners but Kona Coast had a repairman in the house at the first available opportunity!
